Veteran Community
She's the Veteran
She’s the Veteran works with female veterans to: improve mental health through programmatic activities, provide a supportive community, and spearhead research efforts in support of their health and mental health.
Through donations, She's the Veteran (StV) can provide female veterans with therapeutic activities at no cost to them and offer a safe community where they can thrive and receive the support they need. StV is primarily in the Charleston, SC area, but is open to all women veterans regardless of location. StV groups have begun to surface throughout the country.

Coastal Warriors
The Veterans Sea Kayak Resilience Training (V-SKRT) is offered to veterans in the Charleston area twice a year.
Taking the principles of sea kayaking and applying them to interpersonal development skills, this program focuses on PTSD recovery and learning how to help- and be helped- on the water and in life.

Veteran Resources
I have collected and compiled a list of community resources, VA & VA type contact information, and companies that claim to be veteran-friendly employers in the Charleston area. This is not an official resource book of any kind just information I have gathered as an individual over the years. Contact information may be outdated.
